My Story

Abbie Lytle is the owner of the online shop "Eleanor's Room"

Hello friends!  Abbie here, I just wanted to say "Thanks" for stopping by and getting to know me. This girl is driven by creativity and I am so glad that you are interested in learning a little about me. I hope this will help you understand who I am and what I do.

First, let me explain who Eleanor is and the roll she has played. Eleanor was my grandmother, who passed away in February of 1991. She was a remarkable women who had a passion for art and language. She attended the Columbus College of Art & Design and had a huge impact on my life as a small child.
Over the last 7 years I fell in love with all the beautiful images of refurbished furniture and pottery on Pinterest. I decided to use my gift of painting to up-cycle some old furniture for my tiny 1950's craftman style home.

It didn't take long before friends and family noticed my work. Soon came the requests for custom pieces. After years of working from home, I opened a tiny 250 sqf. brick & mortar,  alongside a clay studio. From there, grew my love for pottery and the rest is history.

In 2019 I decided to close the brick & mortar and work strictly online. As my love for pottery has grown, so has my focus on helping that side of my business grow.

Aside from furniture and pottery, I am a mother of two amazing boys. I am passionate about them and they are passionate about legos and video games. Go figure!
